Jim Davidson created PeakChange to promote positive impacts of early stage investment companies and funds.  With over 20 years of internet technology and entrepreneurial experience, Jim is currently focused on early stage impact-investing, providing capital and serving as an advisor, board member for companies in clean tech, education, environment and international development that leverage innovation and technology to further their social benefit and sustainability missions.  Jim serves on the boards of CauseLabs, Girls for a Change, Impact HUB Boulder, Investor's Circle, ThinkImpact, and Unleesh. Jim's memberships include: Rocky Mountain Venture Club, Toniic, Investor's Circle (Lifetime Member), Impact HUB Boulder (Lifetime Member).

MELANIE Davidson


In her work with PeakChange, Melanie is a strong social advocate and investor focused on supporting organizations that are dedicated to poverty alleviation, food stability and economic security through empowerment of women and investing in leading women entrepreneurs. Melanie is a veteran marketer and serves as President of the Denver-based digital marketing agency, Fruition. She is a member of the Women Donors Network, serves as an advisory board member for Excelsior Youth Foundation helping rehabilitate young girls who are victims to trauma and has recently produced a movie titled Madame Presidente which highlights and exposes the conditions in other countries able to elect a female president.


VP of Operations

Emily Winslow joined PeakChange in 2014 and works with Jim to develop special projects to further the PeakChange mission. Emily’s experience includes capacity building, partnership and funding development, and creating and implementing web/social media strategy for global organizations in the social enterprise and non-profit sectors. In addition to PeakChange portfolio management, Emily is responsible for business development, sales and marketing for PeakChange's management consulting services that enhance the early-stage social venture experience.


Ashley Devitte

Project Manager

Ashley Devitte joined PeakChange in 2015 to support PeakChange operations. Ashley has management and community relations experience with businesses and nonprofit organizations. She believes relationships are the key to success in business and works to promote and maintain those connections.  

Annie Carruthers

PeakChange Fellow

Annie Carruthers joined PeakChange in January of this year as a Graduate Student Consultant. She is assisting Emily on a portfolio management project, providing insight on financial performance best practices. Annie attends the University of Denver where she is pursuing her dual M.B.A./M.A. in International and Intercultural Communications. She has focused her studies on social entrepreneurship and other market-based approaches to development. Prior to graduate school, Annie worked as a copywriter for various pharmaceutical advertising agencies in New York City. Annie will be graduating in June 2017. 

Julie Mandolini-Trummel

PeakChange Fellow

Julie Mandolini-Trummel joined PeakChange in January 2017 as a Graduate Student Consultant. She is assisting Emily on a portfolio management project, providing insight on social performance best practices. Julie brings over eight years of experience working with socially-focused for-profit and non-profit organizations. She is passionate about social entrepreneurship and has expertise in monitoring and evaluation. Julie attends the University of Denver where she is pursuing her M.A. in International Development with a concentration in applied research methods and data analysis. She will be graduating in June 2017.
